Handmade from AEBL Stainless steel with a highly specialized heat treat found only here at Pirate Forge.  This Fillet Knife will  take and hold a razor sharp edge. .  Laser engraved skull and bones touchmark as well as Pirate Forge branding on opposite side..  AEBL  stainless is more resistance to rust than other high carbon steel blades and has excellent toughness making it a great choice for a Fillet Knife.   The blade is flat ground with a Mirror Polished finish.  The Mirror polished finish not only looks really nice it adds to the Corrosion Resistance and performance of the blade.  However, this process to obtain this finish is not only lengthy it is dangerous.  I had to stand at the buffing wheel of death for a long time making this happen.  The price reflects that work, time, and risk....  This blade is more on the stiff side so it will serve well as a breakdown knife for fish or any other application where a stiff blade is needed.  I actually prefer a stiff blade over a real flexy one because I can do more with it.  These also make great culinary blades to be used in the kitchen, at the bbq,  or the campsite!   The handle features Reclaimed Oak wood with OD Green G10 liners and polished copper pins(two solid bolster pins and 2 hollow copper pins.  This  blade comes with custom in house made kydex sheath shown in listing pictures.
