From the depths of the swamp lies a witch. Legends of the mysterious woman are riddled through history. This piece holds her soul in the purple amethyst. Let me tell you the story. As I hammered this damascus, the beat of the old anvil conjured her from the depths of the misty swamp. As my eyes gazed into her I felt my breath taken from me. After days of folding and hammering I tiled this damascus and encased it into a mild steel cage. Birthed from the forge came a solid billet of Mosaic Damascus which was then hammered into the shape of the dagger. From there, I faced a challenge driven by the witch. Micro double hollow grinds. Free handed on the smallest wheel in the forge, I laid out the hollows. Distal tapered for maximum penetration. I fashioned a guard out of steel. All shaped by hand and eye to fit the vacant blade. I walked to the part of the swamp I last saw the witch and there I found silver coins. I melted them down and forged them into the spacer and cap that now nestles atop the damascus tang. I found the witches broom made from birch and fashion a fluted handle out of it. As I hammered the silver pommel nut to the tang of the dagger the witch appeared once more. I walked to her... she lunged... dagger in my hand i thrust into her cold dark heart. A long dark silence came upon the swamp. Lying in her place were two purple amethyst. I took these and inlaid them into the vacant casms of the hollow mosaic dagger. The witch now entombed forever inside the dagger. The special touch mark holds the witch along with all of her hate within the dagger. The procuer of this dagger will have insight on how which to display or carry this piece.
