Now This is some Pirate Jewelry! These are handmade from C110 copper.  A Highest grade 99.99% copper.  When forging these out I start with a bigger piece of copper and work to forge them out with a large outer ring that I then shape out a top notch.  I then forged that out more and drill a hole.  I forge the copper bails from scratch as well.  After shaping and fitting the bail I connect the coin and bail with a hammer peaned copper rod.  The entire piece is antique than I come back with a micro wire brush and lighten the highs to bring out all of those details.  Pendant comes with copper necklace shown in listing. Necklace is 28" and I find it the perfect size for me. 
 
Each one is handmade and will vary slightly in appearance as well as size and weight.
