Our most detailed forged coin ever! I give you the Mermaid Coin! This one was challenging in design and die making phase as well as the actual forging. I have to start with a much thicker piece of copper and regrind the perimeter during each anneal/press cycle.   All the extra work needed is due to the high relief and details of this coin.... The skull and mermaid jump out at you!  The detail is crazy! After 6-7 cycles of annealing and forging It meets the high standards of detail a Pirate Forge coin is known for.  I then clean up the perimeter to a smooth finish, blacken the coin, then hand forge the perimeter.  It makes for a super contrast of all the details and the forged texture rim is gorgeous. Just like the others, this coin is an heirloom quality piece of highly detailed artwork. This coin comes in just one version you see here.
