The Carry Blade of Pirate Forge Founder Wayne Meligan!  The Woodsman is an Epic EDC Carry!!! This blade is about as big as you can get and still every day carry in your pocket.  Handmade from AEBL stainless steel with an in house heat treat that outperforms all the others… This Woodsman features a 4.5" blade with primary flat gound bevels, grippy spine jimping,  Grail Mark, a nice distal taper, satin finish, and a razor sharp mirror polished edge. The handle features made in house segmented scales.  Scales are vintage westinghouse LE micarta bolster, black g10 liners, copper spacers, stablized green sycamore wood with hollow copper pins.   It has some really nice curve apeal as well as feel in hand.  The handle make for a full secure hand grip.  This blade is an absolute joy to carry and use.  Great for anything from opening boxes, skinning deer, cleaning ducks, carving wood, cutting rope, chopping limbs, skinning wires in home depot with your dad to see if they will fit in a breaker,  scraping paint off your boat trailer to make a good ground wire connection for your tailer lights (ok maybe you shouldnt scrap a boat trailer with it but I did),  or slicing up porkchops at sunday dinner. SEriously I use style blade all day everyday for soo many things.  Ive been carrying mine for around 2 months  and havnt even had to sharpen it.. only stropped... still razor sharp!   Which brings me to one of the most important aspects of this blade.. The HEAT TREAT..... you guys hear me go on and on about heat treat and thats because it makes a difference... and the way we heat treat blades here at Pirate Forge makes for a blade with unmatched performance.  Toughness, sharpness, and edge retention..... This blade comes with an epic handmade gator sheath/right handed belt loop.  Made from real gator skin sourced right here on my local river.  This is a gator I legally harvested with state drawn gator tags skinned and tanned.  The sheath also features heavy veg tanned leather, ornate hand tooling, forged copper rivets, black stitching, laser engravings, and a unique hand painted/stained finish.
