This blade will take and hold a fine edge.  It also performs with the Legendary Toughness Pirate Forge work is Known for.  The blade features free handed flat ground primary bevels, forged texture left on the flats, Detailed skull and bones Grail Mark, stonewashed finish, and a hair splitting polished sharp edge.  The handle is from my very own stash of in house stabilized wood.  This is a gorgeous piece of Maple wood I sourced from a local several years ago.  It has been in my barn for years until I got set up for in house wood stabilization.  I really wanted to go for a natural swampy look without masking some of the natural colors and grain of the wood.  The photos speak for themselves... That Swampy Stabilized Maple is on point!  It is fixed in place with Marine grade epoxy and a combination of 3 hollow copper pins and one solid copper pin.  This piece comes with the awesome leather sheath shown in listing.  Sheath features heavy veg tanned leather, black stitching, hammer forged copper rivets, 2 mounting through holes, leather snap strap, Right Handed Leather belt loop, detailed engravings, and a swampy hand painted/staine/antiqued finish to match the blade.  This is one epic piece!
