This super unique and exclusive piece  is the Pirate Forge "Copper Creek Fighter".... It was forged from a complex mix of Procut steel, 1084, and 15n20. It took me several days just to forged out this steel. An initial 43 layer stack of 15N20, 1084, and Procut Steel. After forging out that billet I took 5 pieces of that and added 6 slabs of 1084 high carbon steel then forged that out into the final billet.  A total of 221 layers of steel.  It made for one epic pattern! Aside from the pattern this Piece also features a bullet proof in house Heat Treat. It will take and hold a ridiculously sharp edge. Blade features forged distal taper, free hand flat ground primary bevels, forged textures left on the flats, subtle top swedge grinds,  integral guard through hole, deep acid etch, copper wash rustic finish, engraved Indian head grail mark, and a razor sharp mirror polished edge.  This blade spent days going in and out of acid, coffee, and tumblers to get a crazy unique look and finish you can not only feel but one that won't just rub off like many shallow etched Damascus blades out there. The copper wash really pops. Make sure to go watch the videos of it on social media.  The handle features heavily distressed and aged upcycled Real whiskey barrel OAK Wood.  I broke down the old whiskey barrel myself.  Then it spent a while drying in my old barn.  The handles were shaped onto the blade then taken off. tang edges were polished and rounded as well as the backs of the handles then reattached with forged copper pins as well as marine grade epoxy.  All this extra handle work resulted in a swelled appearance that comes out past the actual flats of the tang. Again adding to the unique aged look and theme of the piece.  I then added two stabilized leather wraps. This is just a cool blade from start to finish.  Every inch is something different and unique to look at, touch, and admire. I guess you could sniff it if ya wanted as well. Your probably wondering what is smells like. Well I just sniffed it and it smells like our Pirate Forge Blade wax... which makes sense because we've applied several coats of it to add some long lasting protection.  This blade also comes with an over the top custom sheath also made right here in the shop. The Sheath features multiple layers of veg tanned leather, ornate hand tooling, hand forged copper rivets, black stitching, leather frills , detailed engravings, right handed belt loop,  and a hand painted/stained antique finish.  It is just as much a piece of art as the blade.
