I started this bulid by forging a 160 layer damascus billet of 15n20/1095 high carbon steel.  I had initially cut a ladder pattern into the blade but after forging it to shape and taking the fillet knife to the proper thickness the pattern is revealed to look more "random pattern" in nature.  The moderate flex blade was etched and then blued for added protection against rust.  The handle is Abalone with 2 hollow copper pins and solid copper center pin.  Blade comes with a handmade 9oz veg tan leather sheath with belt loop.  The sheath is 2 piece fold over construction with copper rivets and hand stitching.  After wet fitting blade, the sheath was dyed and antiqued.
